Groovy funky track original from The Funk Brothers created a very fresh cut with “I Can’t Get Enough of Your Love”. Glistening and melodic breakdowns give way to a bass heavy groove complete with strong 80s keyboard chords and shuffling percussion all uniting for an end-of-summer jam that really hits the spot and could work brilliantly for deep sets or radio play.

Bell Towers is no stranger to the night. Moving curiously through dance music as a DJ and producer since 2009, BT has had four years of fun with cult Melbourne party Bamboo Musik (RIP); a successful relocation to the Northern Hemisphere (finally landing in Berlin) and gigs all over the world; a long-standing NTS residency and dibs on the name ‘Dance Music Show’; an ever-evolving discography; and credits for show music at New York, Paris, London and Shanghai Fashion Weeks that has further shaped his musical sensibility.

BT’s DJ sets flirt with 4/4 basement house, flimsy synthetic pop, cheap and chic funk, and emotional sunrise burnouts. He connects the dots and gives the floor his own idiosyncratic interpretation of ‘dance music history’. You might’ve heard the tracks the first time around, but the point here is that you haven’t heard them played like this.

In his eight years as an artist/producer – an output he self-describes as “file under 12”, intentionally laconic – BT has wriggled on various shades of house, 80s influenced pop and sample disco, released across respected labels like Public Possession, Internasjonal and Cocktail D’amore – the latter also being an infamous party series now serving his DJ skills as a regular new home. No two of his eleven singles sound the same, but there’s a long-play LP on the way that’ll make these styles stick like an entry stamp to your wrist on a Monday morning.

The new single from Bell Towers is “Want You”, and the remix by Adam Port is an absolute underground banger which was premiered exclusively via the gaming world’s biggest computer game – GRAND THEFT AUTO 5 (The Cayo Perico Heist, which was an update released on Dec 15, 2020).

The beautiful original version touched hearts all around the world with its mix of love and joy, sweetness and happiness. We now present two completely different interpretations. Lasse Macbeth gives the tune a euphoric uplifting treatment, while Epidemika slows down the pace with progressive beats and vibes.

Having released her seventh studio album “Plastic Hearts” only months ago, pop icon Miley Cyrus now shares the Jax Jones remix of ARIA Gold single ‘Prisoner’ featuring Dua Lipa.

This new long-range project aims to bring out the value of quality music, fusing styles from past generations with current trends.

For Roberto Bates a touching song is not just a good beat, but also a strong melody. Roberto also had the new track “Fire Walk With Me” in his ear for a long time, but also on cassette. “Fire Walk With Me” was inspired by the work of US film director David Keith Lynch. The lyrics process the motifs of various Lynch productions and the music is a wonderful journey through time into the world of the 80s. So, get your magic cube out of your drawer, put on your headband and feel the beat of the 80s.

Roberto is influenced by the melodic rock of the 80s. “Minnesota Lakes” was his first work as a solo artist and with “Killer” Bates was at number one in the Swiss Dance Charts for six weeks in 2019 and at number six in the English Commercial Pop Charts. Both numbers are still played on the radio today.

Today the Los Angeles-based rapper and producer JPEGMAFIA announces the release of EP2!, a seven-song blast that further cements his place among rap’s most forward-thinking and visionary artists – your favorite rappers’ favorite rappers. “FIX URSELF!,” the EP’s first offering, is out now on all platforms via EQT Recordings/Republic Records.

The sound and attitude of rap are forever playing catch-up to Peggy’s gnarled collage style of production, and EP2! promises to be no different. JPEGMAFIA is best known for his overdriven and confrontational delivery, but this time out he dials it back and lets the words themselves do the heavy lifting. On records like “FIX URSELF!” and “FEED HER!”, Peggy doesn’t attack so much as burrow into the music, a kaleidoscope of strings and synthesizers and unidentifiable noises. He’s singing just barely over whisper volume, forcing you to lean in as he turns the personal into political and vice versa – from bouts of jealousy to the alt-right movement, from self-doubt to the surveillance state.

As always, Peggy wrote, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered every record on EP2!, which is one reason why nothing ever sounds quite like a JPEGMAFIA record. He spoke about his creative process late last year with Zane Lowe during an in-depth artist interview on Apple Music 1 radio, and has been self-documenting conversations with other artists like Kenny Beats , Lykki Li, Omar Apollo, and Orville Peck in “How To Build A Relationship”, his video diary series as part of Youtube’s Foundry program.
